This accident was so horrific that 9 people traveling in a Bolero vehicle were burnt alive when it caught fire. After the incident, there was chaos in the entire area and the teams engaged in relief work had to work hard.
According to the information, there was a massive collision between four vehicles in Drummondganj Valley at around 8:30 pm on Wednesday night. After this collision, the Bolero caught fire, in which 9 people including the driver were burnt alive. At the same time, the driver of another car and the passenger of the truck also died after being crushed under the vehicle.
Police and fire brigade teams arrived as soon as the information was received.
As soon as information about the incident was received, police and fire brigade teams reached the spot. After a lot of effort, the team took out 9 bodies from the Bolero, while two other bodies trapped in the damaged truck and car were also taken out. A total of 10 dead people, including 9 people who were burnt alive, have been identified. Superintendent of Police (SP) has confirmed the death of 11 people in this accident.
President expressed condolences
President Draupadi Murmu has expressed deep sorrow over the Mirzapur road accident. In his condolence message, he said that he is deeply saddened to know about the death of people in a road accident in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh. She said that she expresses her deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this accident and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
PM Modi announced compensation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also expressed grief over this accident. He said that he is deeply saddened by the loss of lives in this accident in Mirzapur and has deep condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured, the Prime Minister has announced compensation from the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. According to the PMO, an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the next of kin of each person who lost his life in this accident, while an assistance of Rs 50 thousand will be provided to the injured.
