West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026: There was a terrible chaos during voting in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. Here Humayun Kabir, who had separated from Trinamool Congress, and TMC workers clashed. There was a lot of sloganeering against Humayun Kabir. Not only this, there was also scuffle with the security personnel deployed there.
In Nauda, Murshidabad, TMC Block President Humayun got into an argument with Kabir. There was a heated argument between TMC Block President and Humayun Kabir. Humayun Kabir is the candidate of Aam Janata Unnayan Party and had earlier resigned from TMC party. Slogans of ‘chor-chor’ were raised against Humayun Kabir.
Humayun Kabir has accused TMC that these people are spoiling the atmosphere, after which TMC supporters raised slogans and protested, but the scuffle was avoided due to the wisdom of the security personnel. TMC workers have called Humayun Kabir an agent of BJP. Humayun Kabir, contesting from Rejinagar seat, is visiting different polling booths in his area and taking stock, there he is facing protests from TMC supporters.

Many injured by country made bomb in Nauda
Humayun Kabir is actually directly targeting Mamata Banerjee for every small and big incident happening in the state, putting her in the dock, after which TMC supporters are attacking her. A country-made bomb was thrown in Nauda assembly constituency of Murshidabad, in which some people were reported injured. Amidst the voting, supporters of different parties are out on the streets and security personnel are busy removing them.
Security increased in Murshidabad
Murshidabad is considered a very sensitive district, keeping in view the security forces have been deployed. Amidst this tension, another company of paramilitary forces has been dispatched.

TMC had suspended him from the party
TMC had suspended its MLA Humayun Kabir from the party in December 2025 because he had made a controversial proposal to build a new mosque on the lines of ‘Babri Masjid’ in Murshidabad, which was criticized all around. Humayun Kabir’s statement was considered disturbing communal harmony and a violation of party discipline. When he ignored TMC’s warning, the party suspended him, after which he formed his own party.
