India has once again proved that its military power is fully capable of responding on any front. Akhand Prahar organized under the leadership of Southern Command under Exercise Trishul has given a strong message to both Pakistan and China about India’s growing military capabilities.
Lieutenant General Dheeraj Seth (PVSM, AVSM), General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, reviewed the combat readiness of Konark Corps during this extensive exercise. This exercise conducted in the Thar Desert showcased the three-dimensional and coordinated warfare capability of the Indian Army.

During this, Konark Corps demonstrated its full combat capability through integrated use of all weapons and services. The display ranged from rapid combat maneuvers by mechanical and infantry units to ground operations by Rudra Brigade, special heliborne operations and coordinated attack helicopter missions conducted by Army Aviation.
Indian Air Force performance
Direct air support to ground forces was provided through fighter ground attack missions, demonstrating excellent coordination with the Indian Air Force. Not only this, the deployment of indigenous drones, counter-drone systems and Electronic Warfare (EW) grids has resulted in a significant increase in transparency, control and accuracy on the battlefield, which is another strong step towards India’s technological superiority and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. This exercise not only reinforced the modern, agile and network-enabled nature of the Indian Army, but also made it clear that India is fully prepared for future multi-domain, high-tempo operations.

Lieutenant General Dheeraj Seth praised all the participating units and troops for their professionalism, innovation and excellence in joint operations. He said that the jointness, technical assimilation and operational excellence of the Southern Command is the new defense identity of India. Akhand Prahar is not just a military exercise. It is a symbol of India’s self-reliant strength and national resolve. Pakistan and China have now got a clear message that India is always ready to respond to any challenge.
