A car driver has been arrested in Bengaluru for deliberately hitting a two-wheeler with his car. The husband and wife riding the bike were seriously injured in this accident. The incident took place on the night of 26 October 2025. The complainant was going towards Sadashivnagar police station junction on a two-wheeler with her husband and son, near Ramaiya Signal bus stop on New BEL Road under Sadashivnagar traffic police station area. Meanwhile, an unknown red Tata Curve car came from behind, driving at high speed and carelessly and hit the two-wheeler.
Due to the collision, the complainant and her husband fell on the road and both were injured. Passersby immediately identified him as M.S. Admitted to Ramaiya Hospital. He was discharged after first aid, but later when the condition of the complainant’s husband deteriorated, he was admitted to St. John’s Hospital, where he is still undergoing treatment.
Hit and run case registered
After the incident, a case of hit and run was registered at Sadashivnagar Traffic Police Station on 28 October 2025. Later, based on CCTV footage and investigation, the police converted the case to attempt to murder on November 6 and handed it over to Sadashivnagar police station. On November 7, 2025, the police took the car driver involved in the accident into custody from Balaji Layout area near Tindlu. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and said that I hit him, I made a mistake. I should have stopped the car and taken him to the hospital, but I did not do so. On November 8, 2025, the police seized the Tata Curve car of the accused and the accused was produced in the court, from where he was sent to judicial custody.
