During this, mutual relations between India and America were reviewed and emphasis was laid on further strengthening cooperation in different fields. Prime Minister Modi also gave information about this conversation on social media platform X. He said that good progress has been made in many areas between the two countries and this partnership will be further strengthened in the coming times.

Special conversation regarding Strait of Hormuz

The situation in West Asia was also discussed in detail in this conversation. Both the leaders expressed concern especially regarding maritime security. He stressed that important sea routes like the Strait of Hormuz should remain open and safe, because this route is very important for global trade and oil supply. Meanwhile, US President Trump also informed that a 10-day ceasefire has been agreed between Israel and Lebanon. This decision has been taken at a time when fighting has been going on between Iran, America and Israel for several weeks. Lebanon has suffered a lot in this war and about 2,200 people have lost their lives.

Hezbollah’s statement

Hezbollah, active in Lebanon, has clearly said that the ceasefire should apply to the whole of Lebanon and Israel should not get any kind of military concession in it. On the other hand, Pakistan’s Army Chief also visited Iran and met the officials there. The purpose of this meeting has been said to be to reduce tension in West Asia and to restart talks between America and Iran.
