Efforts for the second round of talks between America and Iran are intensifying. Meanwhile, Donald Trump claimed on Thursday (April 16) that Iran has agreed to hand over its reserves of rich uranium. He said that after 6 weeks of conflict, both sides have come very close to a peace agreement.
While speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, referring to rich uranium, that he has agreed to return the ‘nuclear dust’ to us. America has been claiming that Tehran can use it to make nuclear weapons. Trump said, ‘They have agreed on almost everything. Now they will have to sit for talks.
What did Trump say on the deal with Iran?
At the same time, Trump has also given positive indications regarding the deal with Iran. Trump further said that there is a very good possibility of reaching an agreement. He also said that if a deal is made with Iran and it is finalized in Islamabad, then he can also go to Pakistan.
Trump said he was confident Iran had agreed to terms it had long opposed, including giving up its goal of building nuclear weapons and handing over nuclear material. He also said that this agreement will also include the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. However, till now there has been no official response from Iran regarding this.

‘No hope of extending ceasefire’
Trump said that there might not be a need to extend the two-week ceasefire with Iran. He claimed that it would be resolved soon. He further added that if necessary he will increase it. Trump said, ‘They have agreed on almost everything. Now they just need to come to the table and sign (the agreement).
10 day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon
On Thursday, Trump announced that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to a 10-day ceasefire. This decision has been taken with the aim of reducing regional tension. He said that the ceasefire will start at 5 pm New York time. He directed Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Kaine to “work together with Israel and Lebanon to achieve a lasting peace solution.”
