Assembly elections are going to be held in West Bengal in April. Earlier, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had strongly attacked BJP. During an election rally in Purulia on Sunday (29 March 2026), he said that BJP wants to stop people from eating fish, meat and eggs and also alleged that they do not believe in any religion. Mamta Banerjee also said that in the states ruled by BJP, there are riots, tribals are exploited and women are attacked.
Apart from this, Mamata Banerjee said that a big leader of BJP has issued a charge sheet against Trinamool Congress, but according to her, the real charge sheet should be against BJP. Referring to Gujarat, he said that many riots have taken place there before. After these statements of Mamata Banerjee, the political atmosphere has heated up and reactions from different parties can be seen on this.
