PM Modi said through X post, “The loss of life due to the collapse of the bridge in Vadodara district of Gujarat is very sad. My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I wish the injured to get well early. The family of each deceased will be given an ex -gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. The injured will be given Rs 50,000. ”
Chief Minister ordered an inquiry
In fact, a bridge over the Mahisagar river in Vadodara district collapsed, due to which 9 people died and many were injured. Due to the collapse of the bridge, 5 vehicles also fell down. A truck appeared barely stuck on the bridge. According to the information, the bridge was built in 1985. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has ordered an inquiry.
