Kharge gave controversial statement in Chennai

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has given this controversial statement in a press conference held in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, while criticizing AIADMK’s alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, after this controversy escalated, he also clarified his statement. He said, ‘How can these AIADMK people, who put up Annadurai’s own picture, go along with Modi? He is a terrorist. His party does not believe in equality and justice. These people are associating with them, it means that they are weakening democracy.

He further said, ‘You need such leaders who will not bow down before BJP and fight boldly and he is MK Stalin. Today AIADMK has lost its identity. It has become a silent ally of BJP. It cannot protect the interests of Tamil Nadu because it has become a slave of PM Modi.

Kharge gave clarification on the controversial statement

I mean, I want to make it clear that Modi always threatens. Institutions like ED, IT and CBI are in their hands. He also wants to take delimitation into his hands.
