In the year 2005, Salim Langra alias Saifullah was a notorious terrorist commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The real name of this terrorist was Habibullah, but he used to tell everyone his name was Salim alias Saifullah. Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Salim Langra alias Saifullah, who hails from Kasur district of Punjab province of Pakistan, had established his base in Yaripora of Kulgam and married Shabbira Kutche, a woman from Yaripora. Till 2007, this terrorist targeted and killed non-Kashmiris many times in Kulgam.
Pakistan had fled from Kashmir in 2007
Salim Langra alias Saifullah, who walks with an artificial leg below the knee in one leg, fled to Pakistan with his wife Shabbira in 2007, leaving behind his 1-year-old son Umar in Yaripora. After returning to Pakistan, he ran a milk dairy in Kasur for a few years and used to go to Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Markaz Yarmuk located in Kasur three times a year to train terrorists. However, in the year 2012, the situation changed and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s top terrorist commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi made Salim Langra alias Saifullah the chief of entire Kashmir. In which its responsibility was from training the terrorists to carrying out attacks sitting in Pakistan itself.
Indian Army was attacked in 2013
This terrorist, who was born in Kasur with the name Habibullah on September 3, 1982, named himself Salim alias Saifullah from 2005 to 2007. After becoming the chief of Jammu and Kashmir by Lashkar-e-Taiba, he changed his name to Sajid Jatt, after which Habibullah alias Saifullah Sajid alias Sajid Jatt alias Langra established himself in Jammu and Kashmir. Started carrying out terrorist attacks. Initially, the first major terrorist attack was carried out on the Indian Army in Hyderpora in 2013. Also it started targeting BJP leaders living in Jammu and Kashmir.
Name related to Pahalgam attack
Similarly, in the DKG terrorist attack, Surankot terrorist attack, it targeted the Indian Army, but the biggest attack on the common people was carried out by Habibullah in Raisi on 9 June 2024, when the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on a bus carrying Hindu devotees towards Shiv Khori and 9 Hindu devotees lost their lives in this attack. On April 15, 2025, 10 months and 6 days after the attack in Raisi, on the mobile phone of terrorist Bilal Afzal alias Faisal Jatt, who carried out the Pahalgam attack, Habibullah alias Saifullah Sajid alias Ali Sajid sends a coordinate near Baisran Valley and the next day again sends a coordinate of Baisran Valley. Bilal Afzal alias Faisal Jatt takes screenshots on his phone of messages containing both location coordinates sent on WhatsApp.
After carrying out the Pahalgam attack, two mobile phones are recovered from Bilal Afzal alias Faisal Jatt, Habib Tahir and Hanan Zafar alias Hamza Afghani, which when sent to the Central Forensic Laboratory, one of the mobile phones contains a screenshot of the coordinates sent through WhatsApp by Habibullah alias Sajid Jatt alias Ali Sajid and these coordinates are linked to Alpine. Evidence of saving is found in the Quest app.
What was revealed in NIA investigation
NIA investigation confirmed that the mobile number from which coordinates for attack in Baisaran Park were sent to the phone of Bilal Afzal alias Faisal Jatt. It belongs to Habibullah alias Saifullah Sajid alias Ali Sajid. Apart from this, when NIA asked for information about two mobile phones recovered from the terrorists, the mobile manufacturing company told NIA that one mobile phone was delivered near Faisal House located in Karachi. The second mobile was delivered to house number 109-M/C-10 of Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate, Lahore. According to sources, Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Markaz is right next to both the addresses, so to avoid traces, Lashkar had given the delivery address of the adjacent buildings.
On April 22, when the terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam, Lashkar-e-Taiba, through its pseudonym The Resistance Front (TRF), claimed responsibility for the attack at 4.32 pm through a social media account named Kashmir Fights. After IP tracking of the account, investigation has revealed that this official account of Lashkar-e-Taiba was operating from Batgram area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
Three days after the attack, on April 25, international pressure started building on Pakistan for the Pahalgam attack and as soon as the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) condemned the Pahalgam attack. Just a few hours later, an account named TheResistanceFront is created on Telegram and it is claimed that the attack was not carried out by Lashkar and the earlier account from which responsibility for the attack was taken was hacked.
Habibullah has changed his name several times
Exclusive investigation by ABP News has revealed that the mobile number from which this Telegram account of TRF was being operated belonged to Mohammad Ibrahim Yunus, resident of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Not only this, the Pakistani identity card of Habibullah alias Saifullah Sajid alias Sajid Jatt alias Ali Sajid, who ordered more than a dozen terrorist attacks including Pahalgam, is also available in the hands of ABP News, which was issued by the government of Pakistan itself in the year 2020. According to the identification card, India’s most wanted terrorist Habibullah alias Saifullah Sajid alias Sajid Jatt alias Ali Sajid lives in Porsche Sector of Islamabad.

According to the intelligence received by ABP News, Habibullah alias Saifullah Sajid’s current base is a three-storey house located in Soan Garden, Islamabad, which is also the command center of Lashkar and here apart from Habibullah alias Saifullah Sajid, another terrorist Ghulam Abbas alias Samama, wanted in India, and Lashkar commander Huzaif Bakkarwal also lives here. The three terrorists who carried out the terrorist attack on the orders of Habibullah were residents of Pakistan. While Bilal Afzal alias Faisal Jatt alias Suleman was a resident of Sheikhpura in Punjab province of Pakistan, Habib Tahir was a resident of Rawalkot in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Hanan Zafar alias Hamza Afghani was a resident of Union Council Chokia in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
After filing the first charge sheet of Pahalgam terror attack, NIA is engaged in investigating more terrorists and organizations involved in the terror attack and in the charge sheet also NIA has mentioned that it is investigating the links of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Al Qaeda and Hamas in the attack. In such a situation, it has to be seen what new clues the NIA gets in the coming days regarding the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and for how long will butchers like Saifullah Jatt continue to roam freely in Pakistan.
