Did Trump send fighter jet to destroy Iran’s nuclear sites, not to save the officer? Revealed by satellite

Iran shot down an American F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet near Isfahan on 3 April 2026. This jet belonged to the 48th American Fighter Wing. Of the two officers on board this plane, one was already saved by the US, while the other was saved through a rescue operation. Soar Atlas satellite images have revealed that the debris of the US F-15E fighter jet is still lying there.

Wreckage of American fighter jet in Isfahan province

In satellite images, the debris of several American fighter jets is visible at an old airport near Shahreza in Isfahan province. After this satellite image came to light, questions started being raised on America’s rescue operation in which it used 155 planes to save one of its officers. Donald Trump described it as one of the most courageous rescue operations, but the US gave very little information about the damage caused during this operation.

America failed to capture uranium: Iran

The airport where the debris of the American fighter jet is visible is located about 40 kilometers away from the Isfahan nuclear complex. Iran alleged that America’s campaign to capture uranium failed.

Iran said, ‘The US plane fell in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmed provinces. The place where American soldiers landed to save them was Isfahan, which was far away from Kohgiluyeh. Although America saved its pilot, it had to face many big challenges in this mission.

Which American planes were destroyed?

New satellite images show that the debris of two American C-130 Hercules aircraft and two MH-6 Little Bird helicopters are visible on the right side of the airport. Trump had admitted that two C-130 planes carrying about 100 elite American soldiers had to be destroyed after they got stuck in the desert. However, no specific information was given regarding the MH-6 helicopter, which was deployed for air support. Iran had claimed that it had attacked two American helicopters during the operation.
