An analysis of the assets of about 2,600 candidates revealed that 42 percent of them are millionaires. In the 2020 elections, this figure was 33 percent, which means that the wealth of leaders has increased rapidly in the last five years. The first name in this list is Ran Kaushal Pratap Singh, the candidate from Lauria Assembly seat. He had declared his assets to be more than Rs 368 crore. He had to face defeat.
Results of richest candidates of Bihar
Among the richest candidates of Bihar is Nitish Kumar from Gurua, who stood from Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP). He remained at number 8 with 1148 votes. His total wealth is more than Rs 250 crore. BJP candidate from Munger, Kumar Pranay, is at third place. He won the election. His total wealth is more than Rs 170 crore. At number four is Raj Kishore Gupta, an independent candidate from Maharajganj. He got only 2902 votes. His total wealth is more than Rs 137 crore. JDU candidate from Mokama is Ananth Kumar Singh at number 5. He won the election. His total wealth is more than Rs 100 crore. Apart from this, Dr. Kumar Pushpanjay, Arun Kumar, Sandeep Kumar Singh, Manorama Devi and Deepak Yadav are at sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions. All of them are millionaires.
