US Iran War: There is still uncertainty regarding the proposed talks 2.0 between America and Iran in Islamabad. According to reports, the American delegation led by Vice President JD Vance is reaching Pakistan, while on the other hand, Iran led by President Masoud Pezeshkian is adamant on its stand. However, it is being told about JD Vance that he is currently in the White House. However, Pejeshkian has indicated that he wants to end the war and focus on rebuilding the country. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has once again increased the tension by making a strong statement.
Trump’s new threat
Trump told PBS News that if the ceasefire with Iran ends, “a lot of bombs” will start falling. He also made it clear that America’s primary demand is that Iran should not have nuclear weapons. This statement came at a time when American preparations were going on for talks in Islamabad.
In a conversation with the New York Post, the US President has given positive indications regarding possible diplomatic initiatives with Iran. He said that if the talks in Islamabad are successful, he is also ready to hold direct talks with the leaders of Iran. Earlier, Trump had confirmed that the American delegation led by JD Vance has already left for Pakistan. This delegation also includes special envoy Steve Witkoff and advisor Jared Kushner.
This statement has come at a time when on one hand tensions and military warnings are continuing, while on the other hand the possibility of a diplomatic solution is also being kept open, which makes this entire development more important.
On the other hand, Iran has publicly expressed distrust towards America. President Pejeshkian said that talks will be meaningful only if the promises are followed. He also reiterated that Iran will not bow to any pressure and that the US attitude has been contradictory and non-constructive.

Meanwhile, global powers have also become active. According to Xinhua News Agency, Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a conversation with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, appealed to normalize the movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz and stressed on a diplomatic solution.
On the other hand, UK Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper, during her meeting with her Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi in Tokyo, stressed the need for early opening of the Strait of Hormuz and adherence to international maritime law. The situation remains very sensitive. On one hand, efforts for peace talks are going on, while on the other hand, tough statements, distrust and military warnings are keeping the entire region unstable.
