The NIA has filed a charge sheet against A. Alfasith, an accused in a radical and conspiracy case associated with Tamil Nadu on Friday (July 25, 2025). Alfasith is a resident of Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu. The NIA has filed a charge sheet against Alfasith under sections 153A and 505 of IPC and Section 13 and 39 of UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act).
This charge sheet has been filed in the special court of NIA located in Poonamalli, Chennai. The NIA investigation revealed that Alfasith and his companions, who were already associated with the thinking of terrorist organizations like ISIS, targeted many young Muslim boys through social media platforms.
ISIS videos, documents and images spread
The NIA said that these people made groups like Islamic State and Black Flag Soldiers on WhatsApp and Telegram and spread the videos, documents and images of ISIS. Through these content, an attempt was made to harm the unity, security and mutual brotherhood of the country.
The accused used to spread the thinking of ISIS
According to the NIA, their aim was to spread the thinking of ISIS and the youth with weak mindset should be diverted towards fundamentalism. The investigation also revealed that Alfasith used to follow the activities related to ISIS’s international network. He downloaded radical content on Telegram from a channel named Nashida33 (also known as Al Wala Val Baro).
The content related to this channel was talked about spreading violence and terror. NIA says that this network is not limited to just one person. The investigation of the entire case is still going on, so that it can be ascertained which people are involved behind this conspiracy.
