Till now, many cases of indecent and uncontrolled behavior towards people living in Maharashtra who cannot speak Marathi have come to light. But now another case related to this issue has come to light, which happened not on the soil of Maharashtra but in mid-air in an Air India plane going to the state capital Mumbai.
Actually, in an Air India flight, a female passenger forced another passenger to speak in Marathi language if she wanted to stay in Mumbai. The victim recorded the entire video of this incident on his mobile. In which a woman was seen repeatedly asking a co-passenger to speak in Marathi. The name of the passenger whom the woman forced to speak Marathi during the flight is Mahi Khan.
What did the victim passenger say about the incident,
Mahi Khan told NDTV, ‘I called the crew members of the plane after the incident, but they did not do much and moreover, till now no action has been taken by Air India against the female passenger.’ He said, ‘We talk about unity in diversity, but where is unity in real life?’
Mahi said that she has many Marathi friends, but no one has ever forced her to speak in any particular language. He said, ‘Every language has its own beauty, if it is spoken in the right spirit.’
After all, what happened in the plane?,
Mahi said that the flight to Mumbai was at 6:25 am and he was awake since 4:30 am. After boarding the flight and taking off, as soon as he tilted his seat back a little, the bottle of the woman sitting behind him fell down.
He said, ‘As soon as I pressed the button to move the seat back, the bottle kept on the tray of the woman sitting behind me fell down. After this she started shouting at me in Marathi language, which I could not understand. I looked at her and said, sorry madam. He then said something in Marathi, which I could not understand. Then I asked her if she could tell in Hindi or English so that I could answer. I had no idea whether she was scolding me or explaining something.

After this the matter escalated further when the woman said that you are going to Mumbai, but you cannot speak Marathi?
Mahi said, ‘I had done a lot of research on this issue and when that woman started forcing me to speak Marathi, I felt that the same thing was happening again. So I picked up my phone and started recording. I asked him whether it was mandatory to speak in Marathi. She shouted at me and said that you are going to Mumbai, so you will have to speak Marathi. After this I called the crew. Then the woman allegedly threatened Mahi that after landing in Mumbai, she would tell him what is called misbehavior.
