Regarding the poor condition of Goa’s roads, Aam Aadmi Party launched a big signature campaign, in which out of total 3.5 lakh families of Goa, 1 lakh families took part in this campaign and wrote a letter to the Chief Minister demanding immediate repair of the roads. A truck filled with these letters was handed over to the Chief Minister on Monday (October 6, 2025).
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) says that this is not an ordinary protest, it is the voice of every Goan who does not want to remain silent any longer. He alleged that corruption is so deep that even the roads that are built are broken again within a few days. The public was misled by false promises and incomplete works, but now the public has woken up.
Kejriwal gave the example of Punjab
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has constructed more than 18,000 kilometers of roads in every village. There are strict rules, if the road gets damaged before 5 years then the contractor will have to repair it with his own money. Aam Aadmi Party leaders say that Goa is a rich state, yet people get drinking water from tankers.
‘BJP is only concerned about power and money’
Arvind Kejriwal said that Aam Aadmi Party has only 2 MLAs in Goa, yet people are opening mohalla clinics by collecting donations. Whereas BJP has thousands of crores, but neither hospitals were built for the public, nor schools were improved, nor roads were repaired. BJP is not worried about the people, only about power and money. Today the people of Goa are scared. Crime is increasing, corruption is at its peak and those who question the government are being attacked.
AAP leaders criticized the BJP government over the case of attack on social worker Rama Kankankar. He says that when BJP goons attacked the workers during the signature campaign, the very next day more people came out and came to the field, because now people are not afraid.
Goa is ready to change- Kejriwal
Aam Aadmi Party says that party workers in North Goa and South Goa are going to every street and spreading the truth among the people. Despite threats and pressure from BJP, he is standing strongly with the people. This is the real strength, the strength to stand with the people. The politics of Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party is not based on false promises but on true deeds. AAP leaders say that the crowd gathering at Aam Aadmi Party meetings today is a clear sign that Goa is ready for change.
