Woman was living separately from her husband after a fight

The deceased woman has been identified as Sripriya, who worked in a private institution in Coimbatore. Some time ago, she had a fight with her husband Balamurugan, after which she was living separately in the hostel, but her husband was very angry about this and was thinking of taking revenge.

Reached Balamurugan Hostel on Sunday afternoon. He had brought a sickle hidden in his clothes. As soon as he reached the hostel, he tried to talk to Sripriya. According to the police, an argument immediately started between the two. The argument escalated and in anger Balamurugan took out a sickle and attacked Sripriya. He stabbed her several times in the hostel room itself, due to which Sripriya died on the spot.

It is alleged that after the murder, Balamurugan took a selfie while standing near his wife’s dead body and uploaded it on his WhatsApp status. Police say that he also claimed that his wife had cheated on him, hence he took such a step.

This horrifying incident happened in front of other girls present in the hostel. As soon as they saw the attack, all the girl students started running out screaming in fear. The whole atmosphere was filled with terror. But even after doing all this, Balamurugan did not run away. He remained sitting quietly at the spot and waited for the police to arrive. Police reached the spot and arrested him and also confiscated the weapon.
