When caught by the police, the drunken auto driver brought a snake! When asked to show the documents he started threatening

It was a scary experience for the traffic police in the Old City of Hyderabad on Friday night, when during a simple checking operation, a drunken auto driver did something that shocked everyone. When the policemen asked the driver for the vehicle documents, he took out a snake from his pocket instead of the license or permit.

The incident started when the Hyderabad Police team was conducting a campaign against drunk and driving in the old city. Meanwhile, the police stopped an auto rickshaw. When the policemen suspected the driver of being under the influence of alcohol and conducted a breath analyzer test, the report was found positive. As per the rules, the police started the process of confiscating his vehicle.

The accused driver suddenly became aggressive

Due to fear of the vehicle being confiscated, the accused driver suddenly became aggressive. Instead of showing the papers, he threatened to attack the police team by taking out a snake (which was presumably dead) hidden in his clothes. The policemen present at the spot were stunned by this sudden and unexpected attack. Meanwhile, the accused driver took advantage of the opportunity and fled from there leaving his auto. According to information received from local people and police sources, this entire incident has also been captured in CCTV cameras. At present, the police have registered the case and have started raids in search of the accused.

Under which section were the cases registered against the accused?

A senior police officer said that a case has been registered against the accused under Section 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (obstructing government work) and stringent sections related to drunken driving under the Motor Vehicles Act. The police have clarified that threatening the police by using a deadly weapon (even a snake) while intoxicated is a serious crime and the accused will be arrested soon.
