BJP President of West Bengal Samik Bhattacharya bowed to the Trinamool Congress in front of fundamentalist forces and & lsquo; secretly demographic attack & rsquo; Accused of allowing He said that the 2026 assembly elections will decide the fate and existence of Bengal and Bengali Hindus.
He pledged that the BJP will never let Bengal become ‘West Bangladesh’ or ‘Islamic Republic’. After taking charge as the state party chief & lsquo; PTI & rsquo; In a conversation with Bhattacharya said that the political atmosphere in Bengal is the same as the upheaval in 1946.
BJP can protect West Bengal- Bhattacharya
BJP state chief said, ‘This is not just a political contest. This is a struggle for identity and existence. Bengali Hindus are facing the crisis of existence. The BJP is the only strength, which is standing for the existence of Bengali Hindus and protecting Bengal. We will not allow the state to be transformed into the Islamic Republic or West Bangladesh. ‘
Rajya Sabha member Bhattacharya claimed, ‘The Trinamool Congress has surrendered to the fundamentalists. He has opened the doors of infiltration for vote bank politics. Since the 1980s, we have been warning of a silent demographic attack. If we do not resist now, the Bengali Hindus can be like Hindus in Bangladesh. ‘
will not let Bengal be divided again & nbsp;
Bhattacharya appealed to ‘nationalist and liberal Muslims’ to join the party’s mission to defeat fundamentalism and religious appeasement. He said, ‘fundamentalism is spreading, but we will not allow Bengal to be divided again. BJP is not against Muslims. We are against those who raise stones and swords. We want to give books and pen to their children. ‘
In a message to the minorities, Bhattacharya questioned what he got in Trinamool rule. He asked, ‘In recent years, about 90 percent of the victims of political violence have been Muslims. Trinamool has used him as a vote bank, but did nothing for his upliftment. I urge my Muslim brothers and sisters to ask myself what you have really got in return for your loyalty. ‘
CM Mamta Banerjee also accused
Bhattacharya said, ‘There are a large number of Muslims, who are against fundamentalism. We will appeal to him to come forward against this misrule of Trinamool. The BJP leader accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of ‘compromising the plurality of Bengal’ for political selfishness.
She claimed, ‘She has now moved beyond mother Kali and has moved towards Lord Jagannath, but she does politics of appeasement. We do not need to recite secularism or Bengali culture from Trinamool. ‘
conceptual differences dismissed
One of the major challenges in front of Bhattacharya (61) is whether the Bengal BJP under his leadership will follow the path of a liberal, inclusive Hindutva or will continue the aggressive, radical stance supported by the Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari. Bhattacharya immediately rejected anything of ideological differences.
He said, ‘There is no difference between aggressive or soft Hindutva or any kind. There is no difference between the Bengal line and the Delhi line. The party has always believed in unity without inclusive nationalism and appeasement. We will free Bengal from fear, corruption and violence. ‘
New generation has to understand the importance of conflict- Bhattacharya
The appointment of Bhattacharya as the state BJP president is being seen as an attempt to bring solidarity in the unit affected by factionalism. He said, ‘The old generation of BJP leaders laid the foundation when we had nothing in Bengal. The new generation should understand the importance of that struggle.
He further said that in the same way, old leaders have to understand that to pursue the party, we have to include new people. There is no confrontation between old and new. Everyone will be united to defeat Trinamool. Prior to the 2021 assembly elections, Trinamool called on Bengali sub-nationalism to counter the BJP’s discussion and called it a party of ‘outsiders’.
Nobody’s monopoly on Bengali culture- Samik
Bhattacharya said, ‘Nobody has a monopoly on Bengali culture. The BJP stands with every Bengali that wishes for development and respect. We do not need education on Bengali culture from anyone in Trinamool. Their instantaneous priority will have to strengthen the BJP’s presence in such districts and re -activate the network at the ground level, where there are widespread possibilities for the party.
