Ajay Godara, resident of Arjansar village, died during the Russia-Ukraine war. Ajay had gone to Russia on a study visa in search of a better future, but there he was allegedly lured by money and forced into military-related activities with the help of false promises and was later dropped into the war zone. As soon as the news of Ajay’s death was received, a mountain of sorrow fell on the family and there was mourning in the entire Lunkaransar area.
Dreams of education and the terrible truth of war
According to family members, Ajay Godara left for Russia on 28 November 2024. The aim was only to study and build a secure career, but soon after reaching Russia, his life changed completely. The family alleges that Ajay was lured into kitchen work and a secure job, while in reality he was recruited into military activities. Gradually, Ajay understood that the path on which he was being pushed was extremely dangerous and his life was in direct danger.
‘Promise of three months training, war in four days’
Ajay’s helplessness and fear came to light when he recorded two videos about four months ago and appealed to his family and administration in India for help. In these videos, Ajay had told that he was promised three months of training, but within just four days he was sent to the war zone near the Ukraine border.
In a video, Ajay is seen saying that ‘something else was said, something else is being done. This could also be our last video. Today these words have become a shocker to the entire area.
Death notice and funeral
About seven days ago, the family received an e-mail confirming Ajay’s death. Since then there is an atmosphere of mourning in the house. Today Ajay’s body reached Delhi, from where it will be brought to Arjansar village within some time, so that the last rites can be performed. A crowd of relatives, neighbors and villagers has gathered outside the house. The parents are in bad condition and every eye is moist.
Appealed to the leaders, but could not save life
Family members said that after Ajay’s video surfaced, they had also appealed to Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and Cabinet Minister Sumit Godara for help for his safety and return to India. It was hoped that through some diplomatic or administrative intervention, Ajay could be brought back safely, but unfortunately this could not happen.
Wave of mourning in Arjansar and Lunkaransar

Stoves were not lit in the village, people were seen consoling each other. He says that it should be found out which agents, networks or institutions laid the trap to lure Indian youth into the war zone in the name of study visa.
