IRGC spokesperson Ibrahim Zulfikari called Trump’s threats baseless and warned of continuing aggressive action. He said, ‘The standoff has arisen out of US President Donald Trump’s ‘vulgar rhetoric’ and arrogance and its purpose is to justify US military failures.’
Zulfikari said that ‘these statements will have no impact on the ongoing aggressive and decisive operations against America and Israel and such rhetoric will not be able to compensate for America’s defeat in West Asia. He warned that every step taken by America and Israel will add another defeat to their previous defeats.
Khamenei hit back
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei posted on Telegram and said, ‘Military attacks in Iran and efforts to weaken the army will never succeed. He also made it clear that Iran’s military operations will not be affected by murder and crime in the country.
Trump had threatened
Trump had threatened yesterday (April 6) that if Iran is not ready for an agreement by Tuesday (April 7) night, he will completely destroy Tehran within four hours. Trump said in the press conference, ‘We have a plan, with the help of our army, under which every bridge in Iran will be demolished by 12 o’clock tomorrow (Tuesday) night, every power plant in Iran will be closed, burned, exploded and will never be used again. I mean it will be completely demolished by 12 o’clock, and if we want it will be done within four hours.
