‘We were about to attack Pakistan, till then…’, Navy Chief’s big revelation regarding Operation Sindoor

Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K regarding Operation Sindoor. Tripathi has made a big revelation. He said on Wednesday that the Indian Navy was going to attack Pakistan from the sea within minutes amid increased tensions with Pakistan, when he appealed to ‘stop military action’.

The Navy Chief was speaking at the Naval Investiture Ceremony, where he awarded Yudh Seva Medal to two top naval officers for their distinguished service during Operation Sindoor, launched last year after the Pahalgam terror attack, PTI reported. On the role of the Indian Navy, he said, ‘It is no longer a hidden thing that when Pakistan requested to stop the military action, we were going to attack it from the sea within a few minutes.’

Indian Navy was on alert in Operation Sindoor

According to the Navy Chief, during Operation Sindoor, the Navy was fully alert and ready to attack Pakistan. This makes it clear that if the situation had worsened, the Indian Army and Navy could have also participated in the military operation along with the Air Force. However, by then Pakistan came to its knees and started pleading for ceasefire.

Retaliatory action after Pahalgam terrorist attack

Let us tell you that terrorists from Pakistan had carried out a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 26, 2025, in which 26 people were killed. After this attack, India retaliated by carrying out Operation Sindoor. On the night of 6-7 May, the Indian Air Force had entered Pakistan and PoK and destroyed terrorist hideouts. The objective of this military action was to destroy the launchpad and weapons of the terrorists. More than 100 terrorists were also killed in this operation.

How did Pakistan come to its knees?

Frustrated by Operation Sindoor, Pakistan tried to retaliate. Before its missiles and drones could do anything, the Indian air defense system destroyed them, but India’s missiles destroyed many of its airbases. Even the Chinese air defense system HQ-9 deployed in Lahore was destroyed.
