Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited Jodhpur on Sunday (August 24, 2025). During this, in a grand program organized at Marwar Rajput Sabha Bhavan, he honored the heroes of Rajput society and while addressing the gathering said that the history of Marwar has been glorious. When I meet the soldiers on the borders, there is a feeling of pride.
Rajasthan Shakti and Bhakti land
Rajnath Singh said that Rajasthan knows the world as a land of power and devotion. Also mentioned the charitable tradition of Bhamashahs here. He said that India war has always been fighting on the basis of morality.
Statement on Operation Sindoor
Referring to Operation Sindoor, the Defense Minister said, ‘Not asking terrorists, not asking religion, but after seeing their deeds. Our soldiers never fight on the basis of religion, but on the basis of their duties and morality. Our India also runs on morality in war.
‘India will not tease anyone, but will not leave it’
Rajnath Singh said that a meeting of army chiefs was called on the very next day of Pahalgam incident (22 August) and all were ready for the immediate war. He bluntly said, ‘India will not tease anyone, but if anyone teased India, India will not leave it.’
He appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that today India is standing firmly in the world. India is growing on the basis of ‘neither bow, nor break’. India has secured fourth position in the world in the economic field and has become the fastest growing economy.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat’s address
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also addressed the people in the program. He said that the sons of Marwar have made unique contribution in 1965, 1971 and Kargil War. Even today this society is a pioneer in the security of boundaries. He urged the Defense Minister to benefit Rajasthan over EWS and said that the circumstances of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are different, so it should be reconsidered. Shekhawat also thanked for the recognition of military schools.
My honor towards Maharaja Gaj Singh
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also bowed to former Maharaja Gaj Singh in his address and said that he has respect him for years. This program was not only a symbol of respect for the traditions and heroes of the Rajput society, but also gave a clear message of India’s national security and economic strength.
