A case of gold jewelery missing from a locker has come to light in the Tagore Market branch of PNB Bank in Kirti Nagar, West Delhi. When the woman opened the locker, she was shocked. Her jewelery was missing from the locker. After receiving the complaint, the police have registered a case and started investigation.

According to the police, on February 17, 2026, a woman had reached the bank to operate her locker. This locker is with the woman’s mother-in-law as joint holder. The bank officials got the locker opened as per the rules, but as soon as the locker was opened, the woman was stunned to see the sight inside. The woman alleged that her gold jewelery kept in it was not found. After this, she lodged a complaint in the bank itself and said that jewelery had been stolen from her locker.
No signs of vandalism or locker breaking were found
As soon as the information was received, the police and crime team reached the spot. The locker and the surrounding area have been thoroughly inspected. Initial investigation did not find any signs of forced vandalism or breaking of lockers. Scrutiny of bank records also revealed that the concerned locker was earlier operated on July 5, 2024. After that it was opened for the first time on 17 February 2026.
Rumors spread after the incident
When the locker inventory of the bank was checked, no tampering or breakage was found with any other locker. However, as soon as the news of this incident spread, rumors started spreading and many locker holders reached the bank to check their valuables. Till now no other customer has filed any such complaint.
Police registered a case, investigation started
Police have registered a case in the matter and legal action has been initiated. The bank staff is being interrogated in the investigation. CCTV footage and locker operation records are being examined. Police say that investigation is being done from all aspects. Only after the investigation is completed will it become clear whether this is a case of negligence or some kind of conspiracy.
