Violence in Telangana local elections, Congress workers attacked the husband of BRS female candidate, know what is the whole matter

Political tension is at its peak after the local body elections in Telangana. A shocking incident came to light in Ward No. 2 of Gajwel-Pragyapur Municipality, where alleged Congress workers attacked the husband of BRS’s winning candidate Mamata. The attack took place during the celebrations after the election results, causing panic in the area. On the contrary, in Amangal Municipality of Rangareddy district, BRS has strengthened its power by winning with majority.

According to the incident, BRS candidate Mamata had won from Ward No. 2 of Gajwel-Pragyapur Municipality. When celebrations were going on after the victory, Congress factions intervened and created a ruckus. According to sources, out of anti-party sentiments and greed for power, Congress workers made a fatal attack on Mamata’s husband.

Police have registered the case and started investigation

Local leaders say that the attack was an attempt to spread anarchy by elements of the opposition angry over the party’s victory. Taking the matter seriously, the police have registered a complaint and started investigating the matter. After the incident, police force has been deployed in the area so that any further undesirable incident can be prevented. On the other hand, BRS has got huge success in Amangal Municipality of Rangareddy district. In this municipality with a total of 15 wards, BRS has captured power by winning 8 seats. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gave a strong performance by winning 6 seats, while Congress had to be satisfied with only 1 seat.

These results are a great relief for BRS, because the party has maintained its hold amidst the opposition winds that have been prevailing for some time. Both Gajwel and Amangal areas are considered important in the politics of Telangana. Gajwel has traditionally been considered a BRS stronghold, but due to the increasing activism of the Congress in the recent elections, there is tension there.

Sporadic clashes were seen in the last assembly elections also

Such sporadic clashes were seen in the last assembly elections also. BRS’s victory in Amangal is also important because it shows that BRS’s vote bank is still strong in rural and semi-urban areas, while BJP has come second. Congress’s inability to win more than one ward is a matter of concern for the party.

Both these incidents have revealed a new face of urban politics in Telangana. On one hand, violence and anarchy in Gajwel has put democracy to shame, while on the other hand, BRS’s victory in Amangal has filled new enthusiasm among the party workers. Now it will be interesting to see how strict the police administration takes against the Gajwel attackers in the coming days and how successful the newly elected councilors in Amangal are in fulfilling their promises.
