Peace talk between America and Iran is starting from today in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad. Regarding this, on Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced that the real success of this peace talks would be if Iran agreed not to make nuclear weapons.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said, ‘Not nuclear weapons, this is the first priority.’ When asked what a successful agreement should look like, he said, ‘I think there should be a change of power, but we never made it a criterion. Not nuclear weapons, this is 99 percent of it.
What did Trump say about JD Vance?
Talking about US Vice President JD Vance, who is leading the US delegation, Trump wished him all the best and said that he has got a big responsibility. Earlier, the Vice President said that he expected positive results from the talks and emphasized that if Iran comes for talks with good intentions, we will also talk in the same way, but if they try to deceive us, America will also adopt the same attitude. He also said that the talks team is under the clear guidance of the President.
Big claim regarding Hormuz Strait
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said that it will open automatically. He further said that we will open the strait, whether they are included in it or not. He also claimed that Iran had been defeated militarily, indicating that any diplomatic talks would proceed from this position of strength. “We will find out what’s happening,” he said.
Trump further said that although the US is not directly dependent on the strait, many other countries are and Washington will work with them to reopen it and secure global energy flows.
