Chidambaram himself said this and Manish Tiwari, who was the minister at that time, also supported his statement.

BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh, while comparing the stance of the present government, told news agency ANI, ‘The present government responds to the Pahalgam terrorist attack through Operation Sindoor. Due to which Pakistan is still shaken. The present government enters the house and knocks it down. The present government is the government of New India, which has made it clear that terrorism and talks cannot go together.

He said, ‘New India bluntly told Pakistan that any terrorist activity against India would be considered an act of war. New India has told Pakistan that blood and water cannot flow together. This is the new India.

Earlier the government used to remain a silent spectator in front of terrorism: Vallabh
