It has been 36 days since the war between America and Iran, but no one is ready to step back. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has once warned that if Iran does not open the Strait of Hormuz within the stipulated time, it will have to face serious consequences. He posted on Truth Social and wrote that time is passing fast. America had given time to Iran for the agreement and opening of the Strait of Hormuz, now only 48 hours are left in it.
Trump gave 48 hours ultimatum to Iran
Trump said, ‘Remember when I gave Iran 10 days to make a deal or open the Strait of Hormuz. Time is passing fast. After 48 hours America will wreak havoc on them. Trump had claimed on March 26 that he had extended the deadline for making an agreement between America and Iran. He had said that America will not target Iran’s power plants during this period. However, Iran had rejected the American proposal to end the war as one-sided and unfair.
I will destroy Iran’s power plant: Trump
Trump said that Iran had asked for 7 days not to attack its power plant, but he decided to extend this time limit to 10 days, which ends on April 6. In an interview with Fox News, Trump said that Tehran officials had contacted his administration and asked for more time as part of diplomatic talks. Trump said, ‘He asked me very politely through my people if we could get a little more time? If they don’t listen to me, I will destroy their power plants.
Trump’s statements changing regarding Hormuz
Trump has been repeatedly changing his statements regarding Hormuz. On Saturday, before the ten-day deadline, Trump had threatened to attack the power plant after 48 hours if it was not opened. Then its duration was extended to 10 days and in between he gave another statement in which he targeted NATO and said that now it is their responsibility to open Hormuz. He said that America does not need oil through this route and the countries that depend on it should take responsibility for it.
According to Trump, he warned Iran about Hormuz because many countries had backed out from supporting America on this issue. He said that the countries which are dependent on oil through this route should come forward and take responsibility for its security, while America will help them. Since the attack on Iran by America and Israel on February 28, Iran has almost closed this route, which has had a huge impact on the oil supply.
