TMC MLA Humayun Kabir announced to build Babri Masjid in Murshidabad, Maulana Shahabuddin reacted

Political turmoil in the country has intensified after Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Humayun Kabir’s statement about building Babri Masjid in Murshidabad. National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Rajavi Barelvi has given a strong reaction to this statement. He said that building a mosque is the legal right of every person, but naming it Babri Masjid is not appropriate in any way because it can rekindle a settled dispute of the past.

Maulana Razvi said while talking to news agency IANS that Humayun Kabir is planning to lay the foundation of the mosque in Murshidabad on December 6. On this he said that religious places can be built wherever needed, provided they are completely within the legal ambit. He clearly said that the matter related to Babri Masjid in Ayodhya has been completely ended after the historic decision of the Supreme Court and Ram temple has been constructed there. In such a situation, there is no need to revive this controversy.

Mosque should not be named Babri: Razvi

He accused the TMC MLA of trying to spoil the peaceful atmosphere of the country by making such statements. Maulana Razvi said, ‘You build a mosque, name it anything, but do not name it ‘Babri Masjid’. A dispute has ended with great difficulty, do not revive it. Today the environment of India is very good, people are living together. At such a time, one should avoid giving statements that create rift in hearts and society.

He reiterated in his appeal that it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain peace in the country and it is not in the interest of the society to air sensitive issues for political gains.
