Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Jagdambika Pal on Sunday (April 5, 2026) strongly retaliated against Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif’s blasphemy about the attack on Kolkata. Showing the mirror of reality to Pakistan, he said that its condition is very bad and to divert attention from it, Khwaja Asif has given such a statement. In fact, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had said on Saturday (April 4, 2026) that if India carried out any operation as part of a dramatic conspiracy, then Pakistan would directly attack Kolkata.
People are on the streets in Pakistan against inflation: Jagdambika Pal
According to news agency IANS, MP Jagdambika Pal said that people in Pakistan are on the streets against inflation. Petrol and diesel are available at Rs 560 per litre. UAE is asking for loan of its 2.5 billion dollars from Pakistan. He does not have money to pay the interest on the loan. There is no money to pay salaries in Pakistan and meanwhile, Khawaja Asif has given such statement only to divert the attention of the people of Pakistan from their failures.
Why was this said only for Kolkata?- Nana Patole
Meanwhile, on Khwaja Asif’s statement, Congress leader Nana Patole said that the election process is still going on and such statements are being deliberately spread through people associated with BJP. Why was this said only for Kolkata? Why was this not said for Delhi? Because there are no elections there. He said that the public should not get trapped in these rumours.
Whereas senior advocate and former MP Majid Memon said that whether it is the Defense Minister of Pakistan or any other leader, it is not right to make such statements. Pakistan should stay within its limits and maintain good relations with India as far as possible.
Pakistan does not have the courage to challenge India – Pratul Shah Dev
On the statement of Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev said, ‘Does Pakistan have the courage to challenge India? When we attacked their area during Operation Sindoor, they must not have forgotten how we had destroyed entire families of terrorists. He said that Pakistan had started pleading and appealing to stop the conflict. We had stopped Operation Sindoor on our own terms. Kolkata is out of their reach, but we can target any corner of Pakistan any day we want.
