Amidst the increasing tension in West Asia, the Telangana Assembly has passed an important resolution appealing to the Central Government to take initiative to stop the war. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka presented this proposal in the House, which was approved unanimously with the consent of all parties.
The resolution said that the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel has now taken many forms and is having a serious impact on the global economy. Especially its direct impact is being seen on the supply and prices of crude oil (petrol, diesel and gas). Due to war, production and transportation are being affected, due to which the global supply chain is being disrupted.
What other information is given in this proposal?
It was also mentioned in the House that Iran and Lebanon are being attacked by America and Israel, while Iran is also targeting American defense bases located in Gulf and Middle East countries. In these attacks, sophisticated weapons like fighter bombers, ballistic missiles and drones are being used, which is causing huge destruction.
According to the proposal, about 4,000 innocent people have lost their lives so far in this conflict. Along with this, economic losses are also being incurred on a large scale. Although the loss of life and property is limited to the directly affected countries, the economic impact is felt across the world. The Telangana Assembly especially expressed concern that this situation is becoming even more dangerous for Asian countries. India is also not untouched by this crisis and is feeling economic pressure due to energy supply and prices.
An appeal has been made to stop the war soon
A warning was also given in the House that if this war is not stopped soon, its consequences could be even more dire in the future. The situation may become so serious that it may even take the form of a third world war, which may pose a threat to the existence of humanity. Keeping all these concerns in mind, the Assembly has urged the Central Government to play an active role and take initiative at the international level to stop this war and take concrete steps towards establishing global peace. This resolution makes it clear that the Telangana government is thinking seriously not only on local but also on global issues and is giving priority to peace and stability.
