Tamil Nadu News: The Election Commission of India is carrying out a special intensive amendment to organize the voters. The opposition party is strongly opposing this method called SIR. Assembly elections are going to be held in Tamil Nadu next year. Forms for SIR related work are being handed over through booth agents and are being taken back after filling them. There are still 8 days left for the SIR work to be completed.
Counting forms given to 6.37 crore voters
The work related to SIR is going to end on 11th, while the draft voter list will be released on 16th. According to currently available information, out of 6.41 crore voters in Tamil Nadu, enumeration forms have been given to 6.37 crore voters. That means 99.33 percent. Out of these forms, 5.18 crore forms have been verified and withdrawn.
Out of these forms, due to some unavoidable reasons, 84.91 lakh forms have not been withdrawn yet. It is learned that 25.73 lakh voters have died and 39.28 lakh voters have migrated from one place to another. 8.95 lakh voters could not be traced. Total 84.91 lakh forms are 13 percent. Since 13 percent of the forms have not been returned yet, the question arises whether they will be able to be included in the voter list?
In this regard, the information received from the Election Commission states that the SIR work has not been completely completed yet, hence nothing can be said officially about the removal of voters before that. 25.72 lakh people have died in this list. In Chennai alone this number is 1.49 lakh. They cannot be included in the voter list again. He said that their forms will be uploaded and they will be shown dead.
voter inclusion action
Action will be taken to include names in the special voter list from 16 December to 15 January. Through this camp, people who have moved can include their names at their current place of residence through the polling station officials or through the website.
What is the status of 85 lakh voters till now who have not returned the voter special intensive amendment forms? This question arises. Who are the voters in Tamil Nadu based on the final voter list released by the Election Commission? Will North Indians have any impact?
In the recent elections held in Bihar, the BJP-Janata Dal (U) alliance got a massive victory. Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal lost badly. They are citing SIR as the reason for their defeat. Rahul Gandhi has openly called SIR’s action as vote theft.
