Tamil Nadu: 11th class students beat a 12th class minor with sticks, he died after treatment


Tanjore News: A serious incident has shocked the entire area in Pattishwaram area near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. Kavirasan (17), a Class 12 student who was seriously injured in a clash between students at Anna Model Higher Secondary School, died this morning. This news has created a stir in the school and surrounding areas.

The argument turned into a scuffle

Kavirasan was a resident of Valangaiman Inamkiliyur in Thiruvarur district. He was studying in class 12th of Anna Model Higher Secondary School. On September 18, Kavirasan suddenly had an argument with a Class 11 student studying in the same school. This argument soon turned into a scuffle. The Class 11 student suffered a nose injury in the clash and was treated at the Kumbakonam Government Hospital.

After this clash, the parents of the class 11 student lodged a complaint at Pattishwaram police station. The police called the parents of both the students and talked to them and tried to calm the matter by warning them.

old enmity came to the fore

On October 3, Kavirasan went to the toilet while having lunch with his friends. During that time, his old enmity with the students of class 11 resurfaced and a fight broke out. After the special classes were over on October 4, Kavirasan left for home. While going near Pattishwaram temple, he was attacked by class 11 students.

In this clash, students hit Kavirasan on the head with wooden sticks. Kavirasan fell on the ground soaked in blood. He was immediately admitted to Pattishwaram Government Primary Health Center by friends and neighbors. After first aid he was taken to Kumbakonam Government Hospital.

Critical condition and treatment in private hospital

Examination at Kumbakonam hospital revealed that Kavirasan had serious head injuries and was bleeding. He was shifted to a private hospital in Thanjavur for his treatment. Assistant Superintendent of Police Ankit Singh and Pattishwaram Police started investigating the case.

arrest of criminals

Police arrested 15 class 11 students who attacked Kavirasan. He was produced before the Thanjavur Juvenile Court and sent to a juvenile home. Police tightened security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident in the area. As Kavirasan’s condition became critical, his parents admitted him to a private hospital in Thanjavur. A 5-member team of doctors gave him intensive treatment, but Kavirasan died at 2 am today.

The parents and relatives of the deceased engaged in an argument with the police before permission was given for the post-mortem. Later he was calmed down. After Kavirasan’s death, police have increased security in schools, homes and areas around Pattishwaram. Police are under intense surveillance to prevent any untoward incident or protest in the area.
