Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin challenged the Central government, saying that no false propaganda or political manipulation can stop the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) from forming the next government in the state in 2026.
The Chief Minister made this comment to DMK MP A in Dharmapuri. While addressing a gathering at the wedding ceremony of Mani’s family member. Earlier, Chief Minister Stalin went to Salem from Chennai in a private plane and reached Dharmapuri by car to attend the function and bless the bride and groom.
During his address, Chief Minister Stalin accused the Election Commission of hatching a conspiracy to implement a ‘malicious practice’ through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. He alleged that this process was aimed at removing genuine voters, especially those considered anti-BJP, ahead of crucial state elections.
“To stop this anti-democratic move, we called an all-party meeting and passed a resolution condemning the SIR,” he said. The Commission’s decision to conduct a complete revision of the voter list a few months before the elections is part of a planned strategy to remove legitimate voters.
Chief Minister Stalin said the same tactic was adopted in Bihar, where lakhs of genuine voters were allegedly removed from the list. The first opposition to this controversial process came from Tamil Nadu, after which Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the opposition leader from Bihar also expressed strong objection. Chief Minister Stalin said, ‘Even after the legal case was registered, the Election Commission did not give any satisfactory explanation.’
AIADMK General Secretary A. Taking aim at Palaniswami, Chief Minister Stalin accused him of playing a double game and being afraid of the Commission because of his political connections with the BJP. He further said that while migrant laborers from Bihar have got livelihood and respect in Tamil Nadu, the Prime Minister is ‘politicizing Bihar for electoral gains.’
Giving a political challenge, Chief Minister Stalin said, ‘The Prime Minister should come to Tamil Nadu and give the same statements which he had given in Bihar. No matter how many lies are spread against us, the public will ensure that a DMK-led government is formed once again in 2026.
