Signatures of dead people…, big scam in land deal related to Al-Falah University, shocking report comes to light

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has found a big scam in a land deal related to Al-Falah University. Investigation has revealed that Khasra number 792 land of Madanpur Khadar area of South Delhi was shown to be sold on the basis of fake documents and ultimately this land came in the name of Tarbiya Education Foundation. This foundation is said to be linked to Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, Chairman of Al-Falah University.

Fake GPA made in the name of dead people

According to the ED investigation, the General Power of Attorney (GPA) used for the purchase and sale of this land was completely fake. The most shocking thing is that many of the people whose signatures or thumbs are shown in the GPA had died between 1972 and 1998. Despite this, the date 7 January 2004 was recorded on this fake GPA and the documents showed that the deceased persons themselves had prepared this GPA.

ED got records of dead people

The people whose death records were found by ED are as follows:-

  • Nathu – died in 1972
  • Harbans Singh – died in 1991
  • Harkesh – died in 1993
  • Shiv Dayal – died in 1998
  • Jai Ram – died in 1998

By showing all these dead persons alive in the GPA, permission was given to sell the land in 2004.

Land further sold on the basis of fake GPA

During investigation, ED found that this fake GPA was made in the name of Vinod Kumar. Using this document, Vinod Kumar further sold the land. In the documents, the deceased persons were shown as co-owners and their shares were also transferred fraudulently.

Sale deed prepared after 9 years

On June 27, 2013, a registered sale deed was prepared on the basis of the same fake GPA. In this, the price of the land was shown as ₹75 lakh, the name of Tarbiya Education Foundation is recorded as the buyer. Vinod Kumar as seller signed on behalf of all the owners. The shares of the deceased persons were also sold. According to ED, this entire sale deed is fake and illegal from the beginning.

The whole deal was based on fraud

During investigation, ED clarified that GPA made in the name of a deceased person is legally invalid. Sale deed based on such documents is also considered illegal, that is, the entire transaction is fraudulent from beginning to end. According to the investigating agency, the ultimate beneficiary of this fraud is Tarbiya Education Foundation, in whose name the land was registered.

ED action continues

In this big case of money laundering and fraud, ED is now taking further legal action against those preparing fake documents, middlemen making GPA, persons getting sale deeds done, and those who are benefiting from this fraud.
