So far 11 people have died in the train accident that occurred on Tuesday (November 4) in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh, while many people have been seriously injured. Compensation has been announced for the injured. 20 injured people have received Rs 50,000 each as compensation. Indian Railways, reacting to this accident, has given the reason for the accident.

Explaining the reason for the Bilaspur accident, Railways said, ,According to initial assessment, the DEMU (Diesel Electric Multiple Unit) train crossed the signal in a dangerous situation, due to which the accident occurred., Actually Korba passenger train had collided with a goods train. The collision was so terrible that the first coach of the MEMU train was completely damaged and there was chaos in the other coaches.
Work underway to repair railway track
After the accident, the train compartment was blown to pieces. After the accident, many parts of the coach were scattered on the railway track, but after the rescue team arrived, the work of clearing the track started rapidly. Due to this many trains were also affected.

Railways has said that full assistance is being provided to the people affected by the accident. After the accident in Bilaspur, Railways has canceled some trains. Train number 68732, Bilaspur-Korba Memu local train has been cancelled. Train number 68731, Korba-Bilaspur MEMU local has also been cancelled. Bilaspur-Raipur MEMU local, train number 68719 has also been cancelled.
