The Coimbatore police arrested Sadiq Raja, the main accused in the 1996 horrific bomb blast, from Vijaypura city after about 29 years. This arrest is considered a big success. The Sadiq king is originally from Gundalupat in Chamarajanagar district. He was absconding since the blast. He kept himself hidden by changing the hideout in Tamil Nadu, Bengaluru, Hubbali and then Vijayapura. For the last 12 years, he was living a life in Vijaypura by becoming a vegetable vendor. She is married to a woman from Hubli.
Also involved in bomb blasts of Madurai, Coimbatore and Nagor
According to police sources, Sadiq Raja was also involved in other explosive cases, including the blasts of Madurai and Nagor. The Coimbatore police found a special clue, on the basis of which they carried out this operation completely confidential. Even Vijaypura District Police was not given any information in advance.

Sadiq Raja has now been taken into custody and taken to Tamil Nadu, where he is being questioned further. According to police sources, the Coimbatore police had been searching for him for a long time. He was also involved in Madurai, Coimbatore and Nagor Blasts. After the blasts, he went to Bengaluru, then reached Hubli and married there.
Sadiq king was living by changing his name and identity
Sadiq King Vijaypura settled his name and identity in the city. The Coimbatore police picked him up on suspicion and with the help of other accused, his identity was confirmed. In this action, Vijaypura police helped the Coimbatore police.
