Controversy has arisen over the ‘Puklam’ or Pushp carpet laid in a temple in Kollam district of Kerala as a case has been registered against 27 Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers.
The temple administration claimed that the High Court orders have been allegedly violated in laying carpets, while the BJP says that such an operation was done in honor of vermilion. Please tell that this incident took place in the Parthasarathi temple in Muthupilakka.
According to Mohanan, a member of the temple committee, the RSS flag and Operation Sindoor were written on the carpet. The member said that during the festivals, there have been often clashes about the flag near the temple.
What is the whole case
According to a PTI report, a temple committee official said that to avoid such conflicts, we knocked on the doors of the High Court, which in 2023 had banned any decorative item including flags near the temple premises in 2023. Despite this, the RSS workers laid a floral carpet with their flags next to the floral design of the temple committee and wrote ‘Operation Sindoor’ with flowers.
He further said that since it was a violation of the orders of the High Court and the confrontation could erupt, so we lodged a complaint. We respect Operation Sindoor, but it is not the same as the accused are telling it.
BJP state president targeted
On this whole matter, BJP state president Rajiv Chandrashekhar posted on X and targeted the Kerala government. He raised the question whether there is the rule of Jamaat-e-Islami in Kerala or Pakistan. He warned that if the FIR is not withdrawn immediately, the party will knock the court.
Rajiv Chandrashekhar said that this is Kerala. It is a glorious part of India. Nevertheless, an FIR has been registered to make a pukkalam with words written by Operation Sindoor, which is not tolerated at all.
