A heart-wrenching case has come to light in Nizamabad district of Telangana, where a talented software engineer ended his life by consuming poison due to failure in love affair. After this, the angry family members kept her body in the freezer in the police vehicle and tried to protest by going to the girl’s village, which created a lot of tension in the area.
The girl was already married
The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old N. Srikanth Reddy, who recently returned to India from the United Kingdom (UK) to marry his girlfriend. According to sources, when Srikanth proposed marriage to his girlfriend, he came to know that his girlfriend’s parents had already married her to someone else. Hurt by this betrayal and heart-wrenching incident, Srikanth consumed poisonous substance earlier this month on November 6, 2025.
The family members of the youth demonstrated by keeping the dead body in the freezer
The family immediately admitted him to a private hospital in Hyderabad, where he died during treatment. Instead of cremation, Srikanth Reddy’s family members were keeping his body in a freezer and going to the girl’s village Tallarampur. When the police tried to stop them in the Iragatla police station limits, the angry family members placed the freezer containing the dead body on a police vehicle and started protesting on the road, which affected traffic.
Police assured of appropriate legal action
After talks that lasted for several hours, the police assured the family of appropriate legal action against the girl’s parents, including abetment of suicide (section 306 of the Indian Penal Code). After getting the assurance, the family members ended their protest and agreed to send the body for post-mortem. The police have started investigating the case and have started searching for the accused.
