Tamil Nadu News: In a tragic accident in Madukkarai area of Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu, a 15-year-old boy, who had gone to take bath with his friends, died due to drowning, which is saddened. This incident has spread a wave of mourning in the entire area.
Sivasankaran, 15, son of Arivana, resident of Malaisamy Temple Street, Madukkarai J.J. Nagar, had gone to take bath in Kallukuli in Madukkarai Uppu Parai area yesterday with his three friends. After going there, two of the friends did not know how to swim, so they were sitting on the shore. Sivasankaran and another friend went to take bath in Kallukuli.
The body was recovered and brought to the shore
According to the information, at that time there was a competition to touch the rock in the deeper part of the lake and return to the shore first. According to this, Sivashankaran touched a distant rock and turned towards the shore, when suddenly he drowned in the water. Seeing this, friends immediately raised an alarm and asked for help. On receiving the information, policemen from Madukkarai police station and personnel from Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Service – Coimbatore Puthur station reached the spot.

The incident took place yesterday (March 03) afternoon and despite a search till night, the boy could not be traced. After this, the search operation continued for the second day today. Due to the deep area, firefighters continued the search with the help of specialized equipment. At present, Sivasankaran’s body has been recovered and brought to the shore. Madukkarai police is investigating the incident. This dangerous incident has shocked everyone in the area.
