‘Prit from iPhone to TV …’, Rahul Gandhi fired on Modi government regarding Make in India

Rahul gandhi target PM modi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has once again targeted the Modi government’s Make in India scheme. He posted a video on the social media platform X on Saturday (July 19, 2025), saying, “Do you know that 80 percent of the TVS made in India comes from China?”

Rahul Gandhi said that in the name of ‘Make in India’ we are just assembling, not real manufacturing. He said that the parts ranging from iPhone to TV come from abroad, we just add them.

Rahul Gandhi told, how will China get a competition?

Targeting the Modi government, Rahul Gandhi said that small entrepreneurs want to build, but there is no policy nor support. On the contrary, heavy tax and monopoly of selected corporates, which have held the country’s industry. Until India becomes self -sufficient in production, employment, development and “Make in India” will only be speech. He further said that ground changes should be needed so that India can get out of the assembly line and become a real manufacturing power and give a match to China.

‘Unemployment at its peak’

Congress MPs have been attacked by the government on Make in India even before this. Last month, Nehru Place in Delhi went to talk to local technicians. He alleged that the government promised to bring the boom of factories from Make in India, so why is the manufacturing at low level today? Why is young unemployment at record high? And why has imports doubled from China?

Rahul Gandhi said that today India’s manufacturing GDP has been reduced to only 14 percent, which is a record low. At the same time, unemployment is at its peak and imports from China have doubled.
