Prior to OBC General Assembly, leaders appeal to unity, emphasis on demand for equal rights

Prominent leaders of different political parties of the country have appealed for unity among the Other Backward Classes (OBC) communities. This appeal was made about the poster unveiling of the 10th National OBC Mahasabha to be held on 7 August in Goa. The event was led by Jajula Srinivas Gaur, the national president of the BC Welfare Association.

The program was attended by BJP MP and former minister Etala Rajendra, AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and BRS Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravi Chandra. The leaders insisted on united to demand equal representation and rights in proportion to the population of OBC communities.

You have to do work collectively

Etala Rajendra said, ‘Better days are coming for OBC communities. We have to work collectively to get our rights in all areas by rising above political differences. Asaduddin Owaisi also expressed equal views and said, “Political unity in backward communities is necessary to bring permanent changes.”

Under the gathering for the Mahasabha, the invitation letter Etala Rajendra was handed over to his residence, Owaisi to Darusalam and Ravi Chandra at his house personally. All the leaders committed to participate in the Goa event and encourage widespread participation from all over the country.

The collective strength and resolution of OBC communities

Jajula Srinivas Gaur said that this General Assembly to be held at Dr. Shyam Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Goa will showcase the collective strength and resolve of OBC communities across India. Communal representatives and youth leaders like Kundaram Ganesh Chari (Chairman, BC JAC), Chinna Sreesailam Yadav (President, Jyotiba Phule Jayanti Celebration Committee), Tatikonda Vikram Gaur (President, BC Students Association) and Kanakala Shyam Kuruma (President, BC Youth Association) were present.

The organizers said that the event will be a platform for OBC communities to increase political, social and economic representation. He hoped that this would prove to be a significant turn in the backward class empowerment movement.
