Petition filed against Rahul Gandhi in Bombay High Court dismissed, know what is the whole matter

Rahul gandhi on veer savarkar: The Bombay High Court dismissed the petition filed against Veer Savarkar by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha against Veer Savarkar. The petition claimed that Rahul Gandhi’s statement was immature. The Bombay High Court dismissed the petition filed by Dr. Pankaj Fadnis, the founder president of Abhinav Bharat Congress. It was demanded in the petition that Rahul Gandhi should be instructed to read Savarkar’s biography so that his ignorance about Savarkar could be removed.

We cannot instruct Rahul Gandhi to read anyone’s biography- High Court
A bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradh and Justice Sandeep Marne dismissed the petition and clarified that we cannot give any such instruction to Rahul Gandhi. The High Court also clarified that the court cannot give any binding order to a leader to change his ideology.

What did the petitioner say in his complaint?
According to the report of the Bar and Bench, the petitioner claimed that Rahul Gandhi’s statement violated his right to perform the fundamental duty, in which the Constitution tells citizens to cherish and follow the ideals of freedom struggle.

Petition was filed in the Supreme Court earlier also
Chief Justice Alok Aradhe, who is hearing the case, clarified, “We cannot direct Rahul Gandhi to read any petition. On behalf of Dr. Pankaj, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court on the same subject earlier. The Supreme Court had rejected the petition saying that the court cannot interfere on such issues.
