Now Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi’s reaction has also come on his visit. He has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit has nothing to do with the upcoming assembly elections. What has the Congress leader said on PM Modi’s visit?
Gogoi said that the voters of the state will elect the state government and the Chief Minister. Not the Prime Minister. He said that people are not going to elect the Prime Minister in this election. They are going to elect the next state government and the next Chief Minister.
Will not react in any way to the statement of martyr family: Gogoi
Apart from this, he also expressed his views regarding the family of martyr Jintu Gogoi. He said that he respects him a lot. Do not want to give any reaction on his recent statements.
He said, ‘They are a martyr’s family. Whatever he does, I don’t want to comment on it. I’m sure someone must have gone to him and told him what to say.
Gogoi asked whether he was informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the swearing-in ceremony in 2014. He himself met the martyr family several times. Had also met the martyr’s father several times.

Martyr Captain Jintu Gogoi’s mother had given her reaction on Gaurav Gogoi’s visit to Pakistan. In this she had said that if Congress forms the government in Assam, then she will work together with PM Modi on issues related to the state. We will approach the Prime Minister to release funds for floods and erosion. We will also request for immediate implementation of Scheduled Tribe (ST) status for six major ethnic communities.
Gogoi recalled the cooperation between the Center and the state during this period. He told that when his father became the Chief Minister for the first time, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the PM. Many initiatives were taken for Assam with mutual coordination.
