‘Painful scene, party stands with the victims’, Asaduddin Owaisi expressed grief over Kurnool bus accident.


AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has expressed deep condolences on the horrific bus accident near Kurnool. 20 people died in a fire in a bus coming from Bangalore on Friday (October 24, 2025). Talking to the media, Asaduddin Owaisi described this incident as a ‘painful scene’.

Owaisi said, ‘Today a tragic accident took place in Kurnool with the bus coming from Bangalore, in which the bus got burnt and many people died in it. This is a very sad and painful thing. On behalf of himself and his party, he expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

‘The party and its members with the injured people’

The AIMIM chief said, ‘On my own behalf, on behalf of my party, we are with all those who died and those who were injured.’ MP Owaisi also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident. He said, ‘We pray that those who are injured should recover as soon as possible and can go back to their homes.’

Regarding the bus accident, the police said that among the dead was also the bike rider whose motorcycle collided with the truck. The bodies of most of the dead were so burnt that they could not be identified. The authorities had to call a forensic team to collect DNA samples of the deceased.

President and Prime Minister expressed condolences

President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed grief over the incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced ex-gratia amount for the victims.

District Collector A. Siri said that many passengers could not get out of the bus after this accident, because this accident happened at night when they were sleeping. He told that the door of the bus did not open immediately because some wires were cut, which further increased the seriousness of the accident. Siri told that most of the passengers were from Hyderabad.
