Just days after 25 people died in a massive fire that broke out in a bar named ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ in Goa late Saturday night, the government has taken action. On Tuesday, an alleged illegal structure built over an area of about 200 square meters at a restaurant in Vagator was demolished. The owners of this restaurant-cum-nightclub are Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra.
What happened with the MBA student in the club?
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old Mumbai-based MBA student told ABP News that if the illegal part of the club ‘Romeo Lane’ in Vagator was demolished and the government started taking action against other night clubs, if this action had been taken in her case before the death of 25 people, perhaps this incident would not have happened.
Vaibhavi said that it seems that the government may not have considered the matter of molestation so serious. While giving information about her incident, Vaibhavi said that on the night of 2nd November, I had gone to Romeo Lane with my entire family. There the club people seemed intent on fighting over every small issue. We were 12 people. One brother came late and after seeing two tables together (in which we had shared) he thought that the glass of drink kept on the other table would be ours. He took a sip.
‘Misbehavior with me and my family’
Vaibhavi told, ” Meanwhile, the people there came and started quarreling and since the whole family was together, we started feeling very uncomfortable, then I said that you add it to our bill but do not insult us like this. It happened by mistake. Our bill was Rs 25 thousand, we paid the bill, all this matter was calmed down when when we were leaving, my brother-in-law unknowingly pushed a table with his foot, after which he got angry. He said. All the bouncers were called and they said that you guys should not have been allowed to come in here. Then when I went to free myself, a bouncer hit me in a place that I can’t even tell.”
‘The club was very congested’
He told, “This club was so congested that we were not even able to run out. They surrounded us and even hit us with rods. Somehow when we left from there, we called the police and it took me until the evening to file an FIR.”
‘There were bad reviews on social media too’
Vaibhavi told that while filing the complaint, we did some research on social media. In this we saw that many people have posted their bad experiences on social media.
In a social media post, the person posting claimed, “What’s worse is that a bartender had the nerve to ask for a kiss from my friend in exchange for a ₹500 discount on a pack of cigarettes. This is disgusting and unprofessional behavior. No respect for women, no understanding of customer service. If you are looking for class, cleanliness or common decency, this is not the place to be. Overpriced, gross, a complete waste of time and money.” Is.”
