The Uttar Pradesh government has withdrawn the Dadri mob lynching case of 2015. In this incident, Akhlaq, a resident of Dadri, was beaten to death. The government has argued that this will promote social harmony. Now the reaction of Hyderabad MP and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has come to light in this matter.
Owaisi has strongly condemned this decision of the UP government. He has raised questions on the claims of the government. He said, ‘This step of the government, which beats the drum of law and order, shows its real face, which is always seen standing with the culprits and criminals.’
AIMIM Chief cornered UP government
Owaisi said, ‘Influencing the process of justice for political gain weakens the foundation of democracy. This decision is not only an injustice to a victim’s family, but it is a deep blow to the social and political fabric of the country, which can have serious consequences in the future.
Harmony is impossible on the foundation of injustice: Owaisi
Expressing his displeasure over the decision of the Yogi government, Owaisi wrote on social media, ‘In 2015, Akhlaq was lynched in Dadri by falsely accusing him of eating beef. At that time Indians did not even know the meaning of lynching. Today lynching has become a common thing. Akhlaq’s family had seen his lynching with their own eyes and till date they have not been able to recover from that shock. No one has been punished in ten years. Now Yogi Adityanath government has decided that the case against the murderers of Akhlaq will be withdrawn. According to the government, this decision is in the interest of “social harmony”. Harmony is impossible on the foundation of injustice. Yogi Baba talks big on law and order, but the real face of BJP is that it will always be seen standing with the criminals.

What is Dadri incident?
The incident happened 9 years ago i.e. September 2015. This incident disturbed the country. Whoever heard of the soul-shattering brutal massacre was left shaken. An agitated mob had barged into the house of 52 year old Mohammad Akhlaq and killed him on false allegations of beef.
As soon as its news spread in the country, the word mob lynching came into the headlines. The cruelty of this word introduced a horrifying reality in the society. Whatever Akhlaq’s family saw and felt during that time, they no longer have answers to it. It is absolutely impossible for them to recover from this accident. The only reason is that in this case which has been going on for years, there is no court order as punishment against the culprits. This means that Akhlaq’s murderers could not be finally punished.
