According to Reuters report, Russia said that America is trying to bring about a change of power in Iran and Venezuela so that it can gain control over the oil there.
Trump’s warning to Iran
Russia’s statement has come at a time when America is threatening to conduct a ground operation by landing its troops in Iran. Iran made this war costly for the world by tightening its grip on the Strait of Hormuz, as a result of which there was fuel shortage in many countries. At the same time, Trump is repeatedly warning of a strong attack if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened. Regarding Trump’s threat, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said that the US military will always follow the law.
India-Russia discussed Middle East crisis
India and Russia on Monday discussed ways to further expand their strategic partnership in view of the West Asia crisis and its economic consequences. The issue of increasing conflict in West Asia figured prominently in the meetings held by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko in New Delhi. He also had a meeting with Foreign Minister S Jaishankar.
