The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) submitted its report on the remains of three skulls and bones on Wednesday (October 01, 2025), whose allegations of ‘many murder, rape and burial’ were investigated in the last two decades under the SIT investigation. This information was given by sources of the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
Sources said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has received the first report of FSL analysis of human remains found in the area. According to SIT sources, the report states that the skull presented by Chinnaiya in court was about a 40 -year -old man.
There is no evidence of injury related to fracture or attack
Sources said that according to the report, the second skull and bones recovered from the site-6 are identified by a 25-30 year old man. At the same time, the third remains found near the roots of trees on the venue-15 belonged to a man of 35-39 years. A source said that in the FSL analysis, no evidence of any type of fracture or attack on any remains found any evidence.
The source said that the cause of the death of the three persons is yet to be ascertained. He informed that samples have been sent to FSLs in Ahmedabad to examine possible poison. Apart from this, sources said that some more skulls and samples of skeletons recovered during the latter excavation in Bangbalgudde are yet to be sent for forensic investigation.
SIT is investigating the allegations of Chinnaiya
The SIT is continuing the investigation into their relationship with the circumstances related to the remains and the allegations of Chinnaiya. Officials have not released more details about the progress of the investigation or reference to the findings. The reported nature of the report about the cause of death has left the possibility of further investigation open and the forensic analysis of additional remains is expected to give more clarity.
However, the matter is still under investigation, as the SIT is waiting for the results of the investigation. The dispute began when a complainant claimed to be buried several bodies during some time in the shrine.
BJP accused the temple of targeting the temple
The complainant was later identified as CN Chinnaiya and was arrested on charges of false testimony. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) opposed the target of the temple. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar had also warned that action would be taken if the complaint turns out to be false.
