The redevelopment work of New Delhi Railway Station is going on at a very fast pace. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has shared a video of this from his social media account, in which he is inspecting the ongoing construction work at New Delhi Railway Station. The redevelopment work of New Delhi Railway Station is being done under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The government has identified 1338 railway stations across the country, which will be redeveloped under this scheme.

This station, which comes under Northern Railway, is being redeveloped in such a way that it can not only handle the increasing number of passengers in the coming years, but can also be provided with a better and world class facility. In this 22-second video shared by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, it is also shown that once this construction work is over, a changed picture of New Delhi Railway Station will be visible.

What facilities will be provided to the passengers at the station?
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has also told about New Delhi Railway Station that for security purposes, about 1,500 cameras equipped with artificial intelligence will be installed here, which will monitor every nook and corner of the entire station. These cameras will be installed on railway platforms, station areas, entry and exit points.
Apart from this, a special control room will also be created to monitor the feed coming from these AI cameras, where the feed coming from these cameras will be processed with the help of artificial intelligence, which will send an immediate alert in case of any emergency or insecurity.
Important steps taken for security
The Railway Minister has also said that for security reasons, every employee and vendor working at the station will be given ID card and jacket, so that their identity can be ensured. Additionally, Bharat Taxi will also be connected to New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) and new signage will also be installed at the station for the convenience of passengers coming to the station.
